The 32 Tempest Europa was designed by Felix Mummelow and the Stevens Institute Team with two goals in mind: High performance and extreme durability. The engineering was truly ahead of its time. Durability was not taken lightly, as these boats were built with a complete hidden quality. Bulk heads were bolted and glassed for increased strength; Lifting stakes are filled with micro-balloon foam, and then covered with layers of mat and roving to create inverted hat-sections that add to the rigidity of the hull.
